Congrats!

See, our wishes for good luck worked!

By the way, Susan, I read your comment about the Garden State soundtrack and decided to check it out. I knew I already liked a couple of the songs (I like Iron and Wine), so I went out and bought it (shock of all shocks, she paid for music?) and now I'm obsessed with it. Especially Remy Zero's Fair. So now I'm also thankful for reading the thankful post. Except for Adam's comment. :p

Thanks Susan!

Too bad I haven't gotten to see the movie yet...

JUST KIDDING!!! LETS GO!

Remy Zero

If you'd like, I can burn you the three RZ cd's they made before splitting...they're one of those bands that I will gleefully proselytize whenever I can. Are you guys coming back for x-mas? I could give them to you then, or just email me your address...which you should do anyways since i don't have it. Anyways, if you choose to buy them, I think The Golden Hum is the best of their albums, but Villa Elaine is the one with Fair on it.

The Iron and Wine song I believe is a cover of The Postal Service, which I could also burn you. Unless The Postal Service covered Such Great Heights...I'm not sure who was first. I've also got Frou Frou now. So, basically, you guys should come home for x-mas and take advantage of my cd-buying addiction.

Thanks for the luck!

Postal Service

Such Great Heights is a Postal Service original. I heard the Iron & Wine version first and was a bit taken aback by the techno-y Postal Service rendition, but now I really like both of 'em. The P.S. album is another of my favorites now (Recycled Air is a really excellent song). A friend recommended Remy Zero to me years ago and I never got around to getting any of their music, but they're on my "things to procure" list now. ;) Anyway, glad you like the Garden State soundtrack, Nat. I think you'll really dig the movie, too.

Overload

So many strange words that I don't understand in these past two comments... I am totally out of "the scene."

Cool

Adam is going home, so you are MORE than welcome to burn all those for me and if I'm lucky Adam will actually give them to me. Thanks! I also like Frou Frou (that was the other song I knew I liked originally).

My friend Miranda sent me a whole bunch of Iron and Wine songs, and I like stuff from their Creek Drank the Cradle CD the best, which is interesting since it is their homemade album. My favorite songs by them are Upward over the Mountain and Cinders and Smoke (from Our Endless Numbered Days). They have an interesting sound, almost bluegrass, though most of their songs aren't too twangy. I think I like it because it reminds me of my mom playing guitar when I was a kid.
