FML and Pioneer Courthouse Square

Because work is shitty right now... this site was very appropriate and made me laugh:

Speaking of work, this last month at work has been never-ending hell. We had a massive re-org of our organization... and on top of the things that I was doing before, I got new responsibilities and I'm over allocated by a long shot. On top of the fact that I'm over-loaded... I hate what I'm working on. It's just boring but extremely tedious work. But I guess I'm employed... and it's not a warehouse, fast food, or other shittier job. So I'm going to focus on the positive and say... in this economy, with my education and experience... life is pretty damn good.

Also, let's vote on an "argument" Jen and I have been having:

Is it proper to call Pioneer Courthouse Square... "Pioneer Square"?

A.) While technically it's called, "Pioneer Courthouse Square" it is fine to use Pioneer Square as it's a socially acceptable norm in Portland.

B.) It's Pioneer Courthouse Square and everyone who says Pioneer Square is wrong.

Because I know everyone is biased against me and towards Jen's opinion... I'm not going to say which side of the argument I'm on and which one she is on.

Okay...

So choice "A" is right. It is how almost everyone I've known and even the local news media have referred to it. Granted the full name includes the "courthouse", it is very commonly called "Pioneer Square". Also, option B is not an argument, it is a statement.

Choice A!

Only non-native Portlanders call it "Pioneer Courthouse Square" :)

A

Just Pioneer Square is fine. But I often affectionately call it Portland's Living Room.

Choice A

I'm not even a native Portlander and I've always called Pioneer Square.

Sorry, Jen. :)

Hrm....

Scenario A: Jen was wrong
Patrick used a forum of close friends in a quasi-humiliating way.
Result: Patrick Loses - Couch stays warm at night

Scenario B: Patrick was wrong
Patrick used a forum of close friends to prove a point and loses hard. He looks pathetic and licks his wounds.
Result: Patrick Loses - Gets sympathy points and not much else

I know you lost, but I really hope you lost were wrong Patrick.
