Board Game Night 9/16

Nat's picture

Since I have a week off, I'm planning on making dinner. I was thinking spaghetti with meatballs, salad and cupcakes. Does that sound okay? I want to make sure I cook enough, so let Adam or me know if you're coming.

Also

We got a new board game that can handle large groups of people (up to about 20). It's called Wits & Wagers, and it is probably best described as a trivia game with betting. And it's not one of those trivia games that can drag on FOREVER (I'm looking at you, trivial pursuit), as it can be played in 20-30 minutes. Should be a fun filler game.

btw

Wits & Wagers is also on xbox now as downloadable content (xbox arcade? I'm not sure, I don't have xbox).

...

Dude! Totally there. Will try to drag Vic, Goldy, and Heidi. Not sure on the success rate of said trying though.

Should I bring booze/wine? What do you guys like?

Adam's picture

Your call

You can bring something if you want to, but no biggie. We have pop in our fridge, a couple hard ciders, and a couple beers.

May's picture

...

Okie. Sounds like Vic, Heidi, Heidi's friend Candace (maybe) and me will be showing up in one car, and Goldy in another.

soda?

You know, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've called it pop.

What's it usually called in Oregon?

I call it soda, always have. I know in the south it's always called Coke, no matter what type of soda it is. I think they say pop in the northeast, but I'm not positive.

Adam's picture

Nope, PDX is pop country

It's pop in the NW and midwest, soda in California and New England, and Coke in the south.

I'll be there

I'll stop by after work, so you can count me in for some dinner. See you tonight!

Others

Paula and Karina will also be there, though Karina has to be somewhere by 7:30 so will be leaving early.
