Happiness

is my little nephew Jason Lim. 3lbs, 6oz, a month early into the world. I can't wait to meet him and count toes and blow rasberries and snuggle!

Getting old is worth it if I get babies to play with :)
I've been waiting for this my whole life, so actually I feel really happy and content. My brother was meant to be a dad...I can't wait to watch this little guy grow up.

Future plans
Does this alter your thoughts on where you want to settle down? Do you now have plans to move back to Boston? (Or does Chris have plans to move to the west coast?)
That would be pretty funny if you moved back to Boston, because then our timelines would look like this:
1999-2003 - May in Boston, Adam not
2004-2008 - Adam in Boston, May not
2009-? - May in Boston, Adam not

...
I don't think Chris and Sue will be moving for the near future - the Boston school system is better for teachers than Portland (less students, better pay), and Chris' company is doing well. Jason definitely makes me want to move out, although it would be so sad if we just kept switching coasts!
I don't know. I love the west coast and Portland, and I still have bad memories of Boston, so I think I'll keep trying to get back to Portland. Maybe work in China for a year too. We'll see? Sometimes I think I'd like to stay in SF too.

very cute!
Congratulations on being an Auntie! Wow, Auntie May. Bet that makes you feel old...
