Saturday, Aug 4th - Breakfast w/ Adam and Nat
To everyone who's going to be in town for Adam&Nat's wedding: want to grab breakfast at 10am on Saturday? Ali isn't going to be able to make the reception because she's leaving Saturday at noon for an Alaskan cruise with her mom, so we're trying to set up a mini-get together around the bride 'n groom's schedule.
I'm inviting everyone who reads this and more(Grayce, this means you too!). I was thinking my place? Nothing fancy? Karina, if Adria was feeling up to bringing the new baby around that would be awesome! I'm sure there are people that don't read this blog, so if you see this please let them know. I don't quite trust that my contact lists are up to date anymore now that everyone's going and getting married and stuff.
We could also go out to a restaurant, but I kinda figure they'd all be full and $$ and we wouldn't get a chance to visit with everyone anyways.
Also stuff happening later in the day
I'm also having a casual bbq at my Mom's house on Saturday early afternoon sometime. So feel free to stop by then as well. Hopefully we'll have good weather, so I can open up the patio, and have the wii going in the family room.
I may even have a helicopter by then...
It's funny that you should
It's funny that you should mention "Alaska" and "Adria" becuase I will actually be seeing Adria on Saturday Aug 4th but it will be in Alaska. She and her husband moved up there this winter for his job. And I made plans a couple months ago to come visit her this week (long before I knew about the wedding, unfortunately so my flight leaves at 7am on Saturday). And in a funny Hershberg family-style story, it turned out that my parents and my brother were also all planning Alaska trips this summer so we decided to all join forces so it's also turned into a 2 week family Alaska trip. Which means that I won't be back until August 19th. And because fate apparently really wants me to miss the only wedding this whole year that I really, really really want to go to, I'm in Malaysia right now and am not getting back into Portland until ~30 hours before I leave for Alaska. So unfortunately I'm probably out of the picture for all wedding related activities cause I literally have 30hrs to unpack, do laundry, re-pack and get re-adjusted across a dozen time zones plus a date line. Yea, it's gonna be fun.
So basically I won't be there in person, but I promise that I'll most definitely be there in spirit!!
